Allergic rhinitis Board decisions

The Veteran's appeals for service connection have been remanded due to the need for additional medical examinations and evaluations. The claims of service connection for allergic rhinitis, female sexual arousal disorder (FSAD), sinusitis, right shoulder disability, left shoulder disability, abdominal condition (IBS and acid reflux with nausea), neuropsychological condition, and cystic fibroids are all pending.

The Veteran's service connection claims for IBS, hypertension, right ear hearing loss disability, and initial compensable rating for allergic rhinitis have all been denied.,Specifically, the Board found no current diagnosis of IBS during the appeal period. The claim for hypertension was not granted on a presumptive basis as there is no evidence showing it manifested to a degree of 10 percent disabling within one year of separation from service. The appeal concerning the deferred claim of entitlement to service connection for left shoulder pain is dismissed.,Entitlement to service connection for a left hip condition, a right hip condition, a neck condition, a right knee condition, and sinusitis are denied.

The Board has remanded the Veteran's claims for service connection for allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis due to a duty-to-assist error. The claims are being remanded to obtain an opinion regarding whether the conditions pre-existed service or were aggravated by service, including exposure to toxic exposure risk activities (TERA).
