Allergic rhinitis Board decisions

The Board has denied service connection for depression, anxiety, erectile dysfunction, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis as there is no probative medical evidence that these conditions were incurred or aggravated by service.

The Veteran's appeals for increased disability ratings and service connection for frontal sinusitis, tension headaches, allergic rhinitis, GERD, and IBS are being remanded due to incomplete VA records and the need to determine TERA exposures under the PACT Act.

The Veteran's claims for service connection for chronic sinusitis, rhinitis, left foot condition, lower back condition, and migraine headaches have been denied.,Service connection was not granted for any of the claimed conditions due to a lack of current diagnoses or evidence linking these conditions to service.

The Veteran's appeal for a rating in excess of 50 percent for PTSD, an initial compensable rating for allergic rhinitis, and service connection for sinusitis was denied. The Board found that the evidence did not support higher ratings based on the severity of the Veteran's symptoms.

The Veteran's allergic rhinitis is granted as service-connected based on the PACT Act. The right shoulder condition, left elbow condition, and left hip condition are denied.

The Veteran withdrew her appeals for all issues related to the service-connected conditions listed, including PTSD, low back disability, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), right lower extremity peripheral neuropathy, right foot and left foot disabilities, hip limitations, wrist ganglion cyst, scar on the right wrist, allergic rhinitis, sciatic radicular pain of the left lower extremity, shoulder disability, and traumatic brain injury. As a result, all appeals are dismissed.

The Veteran's appeals for increased evaluations of allergic rhinitis and bilateral plantar fasciitis have been dismissed as she has withdrawn her appeal.

The Board has denied service connection for diabetes mellitus, prostate disability, asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, lung disability, and erectile dysfunction. The claims are remanded for additional development.

The Board has found new and relevant evidence for the claims of service connection for right and left upper extremity peripheral neuropathy, migraine headaches, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchitis, allergic seasonal rhinitis, and sleep apnea. The Veteran's participation in a toxic exposure risk activity (TERA) due to his verified service in Republic of Vietnam is conceded. A remand is required to obtain medical opinions regarding the relationship between these conditions and the Veteran's in-service exposure to toxins.

The Board has dismissed the appeals regarding service connection for left stress fracture tibia, allergic rhinitis, and left foot pes planus due to the Veteran's withdrawal of the appeal in its entirety.

Therefore, service connection for a sinus condition (other than service-connected vasomotor rhinitis) is denied.,There are no scars on the Veteran's trunk as diagnosed or noted in his medical records. Service connection for a trunk scar is denied.,The Veteran has been diagnosed with bilateral knee scars during the pendency of the claim, and these were not related to service.

The Veteran has withdrawn their appeal regarding the issues of service connection for chronic rhinitis and recurrent sinusitis due to exposure to particulate matter from burn pits in Persian Gulf. As a result, the Board dismissed the appeal.
