Ankle Board decisions

The Board has granted the Veteran's claim for service connection for left ankle disability, finding that it is related to his service-connected heart condition.

The Veteran does not have a diagnosed left ankle disability, bilateral tinea pedis, or a disability manifested by body temperature irregularity.,Therefore, the claims for service connection for these conditions are denied.

The Board has decided to remand the Veteran's claims for a disability rating higher than 10 percent for right ankle bursitis with strain and degenerative joint disease, as well as his claim for TDIU due to the need for additional development. The case will be returned to the AOJ for further action.

The Veteran's appeal is remanded due to the need for a new VA examination to assess the current severity of his left ankle disability, which has worsened since his last examination almost five years ago.

The Veteran's claims for increased ratings and service connection are being considered. The Board has determined that the Veteran's gastritis and right ankle disability are related to his active duty service, thus granting service connection for both conditions.

The Board has determined that the Veteran's claimed conditions do not meet the criteria for service connection based on evidence of record.

The Board has remanded the Veteran's claims for a new VA examination due to unavailability of treatment records from his period of active service. The Veteran is seeking service connection for arthritis in multiple joints.
