Ankle Board decisions

The Veteran's service-connected disabilities rendered him unable to secure or follow substantially gainful employment prior to October 3, 2016. The Board granted TDIU based on the combined evaluation of his service-connected conditions.

The Veteran's right ankle sprain with osteoarthritis prior to March 24, 2021 has not shown marked limited motion of the ankle (less than 5 degrees dorsiflexion or less than 10 degrees plantar flexion), thus a rating in excess of 10 percent is denied.

The Board has denied service connection for bilateral feet pain and remanded the left ankle disability claim due to insufficient evidence in the July 2022 VA examination.

The VA will need to provide addendum opinions addressing whether the Veteran's current ankle conditions would be less severe or result in less functional impairment but for his service-connected knee conditions.

The Board has denied service connection for various knee, ankle, and shoulder disorders as the evidence does not show current disabilities or a link to service.
