The Veteran's claim for an initial rating in excess of 30 percent for PTSD with major depressive disorder and anxious distress is denied.,The Veteran's asthma claim is remanded due to the need for a medical opinion regarding service connection.

The Board has remanded the case due to a duty-to-assist error and needs additional development regarding whether the Veteran's asthma is related to his service-connected interstitial pulmonary fibrosis, as well as any aggravation or causation by exposure to CS gas during boot camp.
