Asthma Board decisions

The Board has determined that the Veteran's current disabilities, including asthma, chronic rhinitis, cardiac toxicity and bradycardia, acute pancreatitis and pancreas cyst, chronic cholelithiasis and cholecystectomy (gallbladder issue), coronary artery disease, heart block, coronary artery bypass grafting, grade I diastolic dysfunction, hypertension, and essential tremors are related to his presumed in-service chemical exposure from Camp Lejeune.

The Veteran's service-connected disabilities do not meet the criteria for specially adapted housing (SAH) or special home adaptation (SHA) grant due to his respiratory disability, which is presumed by the PACT Act. The Board found that the Veteran does not have a permanent and total disability resulting in anatomical loss of use of both hands, burns, or residuals of an inhalational injury.

The Board denied service connection for asthma, finding that there was no in-service incurrence or evidence of a disease or injury during service. The Veteran's claim is dismissed.

The Board denied the Veteran's claims for service connection for asthma and COPD, finding that there is no evidence to support a link between these conditions and his active duty service.
