Bladder cancer Board decisions

The Board denied the veteran's claims for service connection for cause of death due to bladder cancer, dependency and indemnity compensation benefits under 38 U.S.C.A. § 1318, and VA burial benefits based on service-connected death.

The veteran's claims for service connection for bladder cancer and PTSD were denied as they are not well-grounded. The veteran's claim for an increased rating for residuals of removal of an osteochondroma from the right tibia was granted.

The Board found that the appellant's claim for service connection for the cause of her husband's death was not well grounded due to a lack of competent medical evidence linking any diagnosed conditions to Agent Orange exposure or active service.

The veteran died during the appeal process, and therefore their claim for service connection for bladder cancer has been dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction.

The Board has granted service connection for bladder cancer and ureteral cancer due to exposure to ionizing radiation. The issue of service connection for prostate cancer is remanded as it is intertwined with the grant of service connection for bladder cancer.
