The Board has remanded the case for further development, including verifying periods of active duty and inactive duty training, scheduling VA examinations to address left shoulder disability, chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep apnea, and tinnitus claims, and addressing the etiology of these conditions.

The Veteran's service-connected disabilities, including peripheral neuropathy of the left upper and lower extremities, hiatal hernia, genitourinary disorder (including prostatic hypertrophy), sleep apnea, S1 radiculopathy, and polycythemia vera, have been granted. The Veteran is entitled to a 10 percent evaluation for hypertension.

The Veteran's appeal has been dismissed as the Veteran's attorney requested a withdrawal of the appeal in November 2012.
