Chronic fatigue syndrome decisions — 2016

The Board granted service connection for fibromyalgia with a rating of 20% and an effective date of April 28, 2010. The Veteran's claims for other conditions were not addressed as they are referred to the AOJ.

The Veteran's initial claim for a higher rating for his colon cancer was granted, and he is now rated at 60 percent. The issues of service connection for prostate cancer, post subcapsular cataracts, erectile dysfunction, chronic fatigue syndrome, urinary frequency, respiratory disorder (shortness of breath), and insomnia were also addressed and found to be supported by the evidence.

The Board denied the Veteran's claims for an effective date earlier than June 2, 1994 for service connection and TDIU due to chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. The decision found no pending claims prior to June 2, 1994.

The Veteran has withdrawn his appeals, and the case is dismissed without prejudice.

The Veteran's appeal has been withdrawn for certain issues, and he is granted a total disability rating based on individual unemployability due to service-connected disabilities.
