The Board denied the veteran's claims for higher initial disability ratings for her service-connected left knee contusion with patellofemoral degenerative joint disease, residuals of stress fractures of the left shin, and bilateral pes planus. The claim for service connection for a bilateral hip disability was also denied.

The veteran is seeking service connection for plantar fasciitis and pes planus, which he claims developed during active duty training in January 1972. The RO has requested the National Guard hospitalization records but needs to ensure all necessary development has been completed before readjudicating the claim.

The Board of Veterans' Appeals has determined that the veteran does not have flat feet and therefore, service connection for bilateral flat feet is denied.

The Board has determined that the veteran's bilateral foot disability, including post-operative scars on both feet, does not warrant a higher rating or compensation for additional service-connected disabilities.
