Service connection for residuals of traumatic brain injury is granted.,Initial 30 percent disability ratings are granted for residuals of status-post left and right tarsal tunnel release with plantar fasciitis and pes planus.

The Board has denied the Veteran's claims for service connection for bilateral hip disabilities, left and right knee disabilities, and peripheral neuropathy due to a lack of evidence showing these conditions were incurred in or aggravated by his military service. The issues of service connection for bilateral foot disabilities, sleep apnea, and seizure disorder are remanded as they are inextricably intertwined with the above claims.

The Veteran's right shoulder disability is granted as service-connected. The left foot disability issue is remanded for further development.

The Veteran's service-connected fifth metacarpal fracture, left hand is currently rated at 10 percent and denied a higher rating.,The Veteran's service-connected thyroidectomy scar on the neck is currently rated at 10 percent and denied a higher rating.,The Veteran's service-connected plantar wart, right foot post excision, is currently rated at 10 percent and denied a higher rating.

The Veteran's claims for increased evaluations of his back condition, right knee condition, pes planus with pronation (bilateral), hallux valgus with degenerative joint disease first metatarsal base-cuneiform articulation (left foot), and hallux valgus (right foot) are being remanded due to the need for new VA examinations to assess their current severity.

Service connection for ulcerative colitis is granted. The Veteran's sleep apnea is currently rated at 50 percent, and the Board finds that this rating adequately reflects his current disability picture.

The Board has remanded the Veteran's claims for service connection for various knee and foot disabilities, as well as an increased rating for sinusitis. The appeals are being returned to the AOJ for further development.

The Veteran's claims for various conditions, including right knee disorder, bilateral eye disorder, low back disorder, bilateral flat feet, degenerative arthritis (arthritis throughout the body), left knee disorder, and hypertension have all been denied as there is no evidence of a nexus to service.

The Veteran's bilateral pes planus has been rated at 30% since August 16, 2005. The Board has now granted a 50% rating for the entire period on appeal due to severe symptoms not adequately reflected by the current rating.

The Veteran's bilateral plantar fasciitis has been granted a 10 percent rating effective December 27, 2006. The TDIU claim is being remanded for further development.

The Board has remanded the claims of service connection for left ankle disability, left kidney disability, foot disability with pain, fungus of both toes, bronchitis, and sinusitis due to insufficient evidence or need for further examination.
