Prostate cancer Board decisions

The Veteran's prostate cancer and associated residuals are remanded due to the need for a VA medical opinion on whether it is at least as likely as not that the use of tactical herbicides approximately nine to ten months prior to his arrival at the Korean DMZ caused him to develop prostate cancer.

The Board has remanded the claims for service connection for prostate cancer, basal cell carcinoma leg and nose scars status post removal (BCC), sinus bradycardia with tricuspid regurgitation and first degree AV block (regurgitation), erectile dysfunction (ED), and stress urinary incontinence (SUI) due to inadequate VA medical opinions regarding the Veteran's exposure to contaminated water at Camp LeJeune.

The Veteran's claims for diabetes mellitus type II, prostate cancer, and erectile dysfunction have been granted effective June 2, 2021.,An earlier effective date is not warranted as the claims were previously denied in April 2018.

The Board has denied service connection for hypertension, prostate cancer, and urinary incontinence. The claims for left hip osteoarthritis, left knee degenerative arthritis, and a feet disorder are remanded.
