PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) Board decisions

The Board has remanded the case for further development to obtain service treatment records and personnel records regarding the Veteran's periods of Active Duty Reserve (ACDUTRA) and Indirect Training and Related Activities (INACDUTRA). The claim for PTSD remains denied, while the claim for an acquired psychiatric disorder other than PTSD is now pending.

The Veteran's OSA and migraines are granted as service-connected.,The rating for GERD is restored to 30%, and the initial PTSD rating is granted at 100%.

The Veteran's service-connected PTSD has precluded him from securing and maintaining substantially gainful employment throughout the period on appeal, warranting a TDIU. The Veteran is also entitled to SMC at the statutory housebound rate due to his separate service-connected ischemic heart disease.
