PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) Board decisions

The Board has remanded the Veteran's claims for increased ratings for PTSD and unstable angina, as well as his claim for a TDIU due to worsening symptoms since the last VA examinations in September 2018. The Veteran will need to undergo new VA examinations to assess the current severity of these conditions.

The Veteran's PTSD is currently rated at 70 percent from October 30, 2018 until February 13, 2019. The claim for a higher rating prior to this date and for an earlier effective date remain denied.

The Veteran's claim for an earlier effective date for service connection of PTSD was denied as the July 2015 rating decision is final and no new or material evidence was submitted within the appeal period.

The Veteran's claims for increased ratings, service connection, and TDIU are being remanded due to the need for additional development of evidence. Specifically, VA examinations are required to assess the severity of his PTSD, as well as his colon cancer, hypertension, GI disability, and skin cancer. The claim for TDIU is also being remanded.
