PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) Board decisions

The Veteran's TDIU was granted effective June 15, 2022, based on his service-connected disabilities. The effective date for the establishment of basic eligibility for DEA benefits is also June 15, 2022.

The Board dismissed the appeal for an earlier effective date for the grant of a TDIU due to service-connected disabilities because the issue was not adjudicated in prior decisions and the Veteran did not pursue it after being granted service connection for GAD.

The Veteran's PTSD with amnesic disorder secondary to TBI is granted a 100% evaluation effective August 17, 2016, due to total occupational and social impairment.

The Veteran's PTSD with Major Depressive Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder is rated at 70 percent since January 19, 2022. The effective date for this rating remains pending as the appeal pertains to service connection rather than a change in disability rating.
