Shoulder Board decisions

The Veteran's temporary total disability rating for right shoulder surgery was denied beyond August 31, 2020, as his shoulder did not meet the criteria for an extension under VA regulations.

The Veteran's lumbosacral strain has been granted an initial 40 percent rating, effective May 29, 2020. Service connection for right shoulder tendinopathy, left shoulder interstitial tear of the teres minor tendon, and right wrist sprain/degenerative arthritis have also been granted.

The Veteran's claim for service connection for GERD was denied. The Veteran's right shoulder pain and left anterior thigh disability were granted with a 20% rating, effective as of the date of the erroneous 10% rating in 2020.

The Veteran's TDIU claim is granted from April 26, 2018 to April 18, 2021. Service connection for toe fungus and left shoulder condition are granted. Service connection for neck condition is also granted.

The Board has remanded the Veteran's claims for service connection for left and right shoulder disabilities due to incomplete development in the previous rating decision. The Veteran is required to provide evidence of a nexus between his current shoulder conditions and military service.

The Board has denied service connection for psoriasis and remanded the claims of service connection for bilateral elbow condition, left knee condition, right knee condition, and right shoulder strain.

The Veteran's claim for eligibility for specially adapted housing and special home adaptation grant was denied as he does not meet the criteria for a qualifying total service-connected disability rating or loss of use of lower extremities.

The appeal of the June 2025 AOJ decision regarding entitlement to service connection for disabilities caused by thyroid is dismissed. The AOJ's denial of other claims (bilateral knee, shoulder, hip, neuropathy, and stomach ulcer) is remanded.
