Sinusitis Board decisions

The Board denied service connection for a respiratory condition, restless leg syndrome, bilateral hearing loss, chronic fatigue syndrome, and higher ratings for allergic rhinitis, tension headaches, degenerative arthritis of the left knee, and generalized anxiety disorder with unspecified mood disorder and alcohol use disorder. The claims for chronic sinusitis, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and lumbosacral strain were remanded.

The Board granted service connection for chronic sinusitis, obstructive sleep apnea, a left elbow disability, and a headache disability, with an initial rating of 30 percent for the chronic sinusitis.

The Board granted service connection for acquired psychiatric disorder, including PTSD, unspecified mood disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder, as well as alcohol use disorder. The remaining claims were remanded for further development.

An initial 50% rating was granted for the service-connected unspecified depressive disorder.

The Board granted service connection for chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, chronic sinusitis, chronic headaches, dermatosis of arms and legs, uterine fibroids, bilateral shoulder disability, left wrist disability, and PTSD. Service connection was denied for bilateral hearing loss.

The Board dismissed the claims for service connection for a respiratory disability, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), and sinusitis due to lack of evidence supporting current disabilities.

The Board denied the veteran's claim for service connection for sinusitis as there was no evidence of a current diagnosis during or near the period on appeal.
