Sinusitis Board decisions

The Board granted service connection for deviated nasal septum with rhinitis, left hip condition, and right hip condition. The claims for an acquired mental health condition, heart atrial fibrillation, and obstructive sleep apnea were remanded.

The Board granted service connection for cervical disc disease with radiculopathy, secondary to the Veteran's lumbar spine disability. The Board also granted ratings of 50%, 80%, and 40% for various neurological conditions affecting the lower extremities, as well as a rating of 60% for hepatitis C with cirrhosis of the liver.

The Board denied service connection for right elbow, left elbow, sinusitis, and cervicalgia disabilities, as well as an initial compensable rating for allergic rhinitis.

A 10 percent rating was granted for allergic rhinitis (claimed as chronic sinusitis).

The appeal for a rating in excess of 50 percent for sinusitis with headaches was dismissed due to untimely filing. The appeals for increased ratings and an earlier effective date were denied.

The Board denied the veteran's appeal for earlier effective dates for service connection of multiple conditions, including multiple myeloma, schizotypal personality disorder with mild neurocognitive disorder, fibromyalgia, vitamin D deficiency, migraine headaches, and others.

The Board granted increased ratings for lumbar spine disability and unspecified anxiety disorder, effective September 30, 2021, while denying increased ratings for vertigo and chronic sinusitis.
