Skin cancer decisions — 2017

The Veteran's residuals of skin cancer and mild interstitial changes are found to be incurred as a result of sun exposure in service for the former, and asbestos exposure in service for the latter. Service connection is granted for both conditions.

The Board denied the Veteran's claims of service connection for skin cancer and hypertensive vascular disease, finding no evidence linking these conditions to his active duty or herbicide exposure.

The Veteran's claims for increased ratings and service connection were denied. The claim for an earlier effective date for IHD was also denied.

The Veteran's claims of entitlement to service connection for various conditions, including degenerative disc disease of the lumbar and cervical spines, arthralgia of the right knee, peripheral artery disease, and hypertension have all been denied. The Board found that there is no evidence linking these conditions to his military service.
