Traumatic brain injury (TBI) Board decisions

The Veteran's appeal has been dismissed as he and his representative have withdrawn the appeal prior to a decision being made.

The Veteran is not entitled to an increased evaluation for his service-connected cervical strain with cervical disc degeneration or a higher initial evaluation for his service-connected postconcussive headaches (residual of traumatic brain injury).,The Veteran's claims for earlier effective dates for right shoulder grade II AC separation, PTSD, and TBI have been remanded. The Veteran is also entitled to an increased evaluation for his service-connected PTSD.

The Veteran's claim for service connection for a groin muscle injury was denied in the past, but new evidence has reopened this claim.,Service connection is granted for headaches. The Veteran reported head injuries sustained during boxing and football while serving.

The Veteran's service connection claims for TBI residuals, testicular disability, and total disability rating due to individual unemployability are being remanded for additional development.

The Board has remanded the Veteran's claims for a compensable rating for bilateral hearing loss prior to January 24, 2014 and 10 percent on and thereafter; an increased rating for residuals of TBI; and entitlement to a total disability rating based on individual unemployability (TDIU).
