The Veteran's claims for service connection and increased ratings were denied. The right hip disability, shin splints of the left leg, and shin splints of the right leg are not considered service-connected. An initial compensable rating was also denied for trauma-induced onychauxis with onychomycosis of the left great toe.
The deciding factor: The medical evidence did not support diagnoses of a right hip disability or shin splints of either leg, and there was no indication that these conditions were related to service or a service-connected condition. The Veteran's CAD met criteria for a 10% rating prior to October 25, 2015, but the Board found no evidence warranting an increase beyond this level. For the period after October 25, 2015, the Veteran’s CAD did not meet criteria for a higher rating. The Veteran's left great toe condition was considered noncompensable as there was no evidence of at least 5% body or exposed area affected.

- Denied
