GrantedPACT Act
The Board granted service connection for GERD, secondary to the Veteran's service-connected anxiety and depression. The evidence is in approximate balance supporting a causal connection between the Veteran's GERD and his service-connected disabilities.
The deciding factor: The June 2024 VA examiner opined that the Veteran's GERD was at least as likely as not caused by his service-connected anxiety and depression, due to stress correlating with increased levels of reflux.
