Vertigo & vestibular disorders decisions — 2022

The Board remands the matter for another opinion on whether a peripheral vestibular disorder was proximately caused by or underwent any incremental increase in disability due to any service-connected disability, including medications used for treatment.

The Board denied service connection for vertigo, finding that the condition was not incurred in or aggravated by service and is not related to a service-connected disability. The claim for secondary service connection based on tinnitus was also denied.

The Board has granted a 100% rating for PTSD from November 1, 2008 and an earlier effective date of May 28, 1970 for the grant of service connection for tinnitus. The Veteran's Meniere's Syndrome and hearing loss are not addressed in this decision.
