Fibromyalgia decisions — 2021

The Veteran's claim for an initial disability evaluation in excess of 40 percent for fibromyalgia has been denied. The maximum schedular rating (40%) is assigned, and the Board finds that there are no exceptional or unusual circumstances warranting extra-schedular consideration.

The Board has remanded the claims for service connection due to insufficient diagnostic information during service and lack of objective measures. The Veteran's fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome are being reviewed again, as well as her acquired psychiatric disability (including unspecified anxiety disorder and insomnia disorder) and respiratory condition.

The Board denied service connection for fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and a respiratory condition as they were not shown to be related to the Veteran's period of active duty or any presumptive conditions.

The Board denied service connection for diverticulosis, back condition, neck condition, and endometriosis as the evidence did not support a causal relationship to service.
