Hemorrhoids decisions — 2019

The Veteran's claims of service connection for various conditions, including a lumbar spine/low back disability and respiratory issues (including asbestosis), right shoulder and left shoulder disabilities, headaches, diabetes mellitus type II, hemorrhoids, and sleep apnea are being remanded due to the receipt of new and material evidence. The Veteran's claims will be further evaluated with additional medical examinations.

The Board has decided to remand the cases of service connection for left foot condition, hemorrhoids, pruritus ani, and anemia due to the need for additional development including VA examinations.

The Veteran's claim for a compensable rating for hemorrhoids was denied. The Board found that the Veteran’s hemorrhoids were productive of mild to moderate internal or external hemorrhoids, without large or thrombotic hemorrhoids, and thus did not meet the criteria for a compensable rating.

The Veteran's right wrist disability is granted a 50% evaluation as of February 6, 2017. The Veteran's hemorrhoids are not rated higher than noncompensable.

The Veteran's erectile dysfunction, scar from heart surgery, and other conditions have been granted service connection. A 10% rating has been assigned for bilateral hearing loss as of September 11, 2018.
