Hemorrhoids decisions — 2024

The Veteran's appeal involves multiple service-connected disabilities, including cervical spine issues, back problems, dizziness, hemorrhoids, and urethra stricture. The Board has determined that additional evidence is needed to properly assess the severity of these conditions.

The Veteran's GERD is granted as secondary to her service-connected status post left breast lumpectomy with chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The Board also grants service connection for decreased external anal sphincter, hemorrhoids with rectal bleeding, and intestinal conditions (IBS and pelvic floor dyssynergia) as secondary to her service-connected condition.

The Veteran's service-connected Parkinson's disease and related disabilities render him unable to secure or follow a substantially gainful occupation, warranting a TDIU effective from September 22, 2014.
