Hip Board decisions

The Board denied service connection for several conditions but remanded others for further review.

The Veteran's claim for service connection of a right hip condition is being sent back to the VA for further review. The Board decided that the Veteran needs a VA examination to determine if his right hip disability is related to his military service.

The veteran's claim for an earlier effective date for migraine headaches was denied. The veteran was granted a higher rating for migraine headaches but denied higher ratings for rhinitis and other conditions. Some issues were remanded for further review.

The veteran's claims for increased rating of migraine headaches and service connection for left knee, right knee, right hip, and syncope were denied. The claims for heart condition and bilateral pes planus with plantar fasciitis were remanded.

Service connection for the veteran's left and right knee conditions was denied. The claims for service connection for the veteran's left hip, right hip, and left sciatic peripheral nerve paralysis were remanded.

The Board denied the veteran's claims for revision of a prior rating decision, an earlier effective date, and a higher rating for a left hip disability.

The Board denied the Veteran's claim for service connection for a right hip disability, finding that there is not sufficient evidence to establish a link between his current condition and his military service. The Board also found no secondary service connection due to his service-connected right knee disability.

The Board denied service connection for low back and right hip disabilities due to lack of evidence of current disability. It also denied a compensable rating for bulimia because the Veteran did not experience incapacitating episodes.

The Board denied service connection for several conditions, including lung disability, bronchitis, and psychiatric disorders. Some issues were dismissed, and others were remanded for further review.

Service connection for right wrist degenerative arthritis was granted. Service connection for right and left hip disabilities was denied.

The Board remanded the veteran's claims for service connection of an eye condition, right hip condition, and neck condition. The Board found that additional evidence is needed to properly develop these claims.

The Veteran's claim for service connection for chest pain was denied. The claims for left hip disability, duodenitis, and left ankle disability were remanded for further development.
