Hip Board decisions

The Board has remanded the claim for a medical opinion to determine if the Veteran's right hip disability is caused by or aggravated by his service-connected left foot conditions (pes planus, arthritis, hallux valgus, hammer third and fourth toes).

The Board has determined that the evidence is at least in equipoise as to whether the Veteran's left ankle, left knee, right hip, lumbar spine, and cervical spine disabilities are related to his service-connected motor vehicle accident. As such, service connection for these conditions is granted.

The Board has remanded the claims for service connection due to incomplete records and inadequate medical opinions. The appellant's right shoulder and hip disabilities may be related to her Reserve service, but more evidence is needed. Her sleep apnea claim includes PTSD as a contributing factor. Heart disability diagnoses are unclear, and further examination is required.

The Veteran's claims for service connection for right wrist carpal instability and left hip condition are being remanded due to the need for additional medical opinions.

The Board has granted service connection for right ankle, left ankle, right hip, and right knee disabilities based on continuity of symptomatology since active duty service.

The Board has remanded the Veteran's claims for depression and anxiety disorder, sciatica, left hip condition, and right hip condition due to incomplete records and insufficient evidence of record. The AOJ is instructed to attempt to obtain relevant service treatment records and VA examinations are required to determine the nature, extent, and etiology of these conditions.
