The Veteran's erectile dysfunction is granted as secondary to hypertension. The Veteran's ischemic heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus are not rated higher than the current levels, but his bilateral hearing loss and PTSD are granted initial ratings.
The deciding factor: The March 2020 VA examination found that the Veteran’s erectile dysfunction was more likely than not secondary to hypertension. The Veteran's ischemic heart disease did not meet the criteria for a rating in excess of 10 percent, as his METs level and LVEF were stable above 55%. His type 2 diabetes mellitus met the criteria for a 30 percent evaluation due to episodes of ketoacidosis or hypoglycemic reactions less than 2 times per month. The Veteran's bilateral hearing loss was rated at Level VI after March 10, 2020 and his PTSD warranted an initial rating in excess of 70 percent.
