Hemorrhoids Board decisions

The Board has determined that the Veteran's claims file is incomplete and requires further development to ensure all relevant service records are obtained. The issues of service connection for hemorrhoids and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) are being remanded.

The Veteran's claims for service connection and increased ratings were granted. The Veteran was assigned a 30 percent rating for allergic rhinitis beginning January 8, 2015.

The Board has determined that there is insufficient evidence to determine the appropriate ratings for the Veteran's service-connected disabilities throughout the entire appeal period and therefore, the claims are being remanded for further development.

The Veteran's chronic joint pain syndrome is rated at 20 percent, effective from December 28, 2011. The rating for hemorrhoids remains at 10 percent. A TDIU is granted.

Her claims for these conditions remain pending.

The Veteran's hypertension was granted service connection with an effective date of June 20, 2017. The remaining claims for throat cancer, depression, thyroid disorder, loss of taste, and hemorrhoids were all denied.

The Board has determined that the claims for service connection for asthma, hemorrhoids, sinus condition and sleep apnea secondary to deviated septum, thyroid tumor due to radiation exposure, headaches, left hip condition, and right hip condition are remanded as there is insufficient evidence or examination to support a decision.

The Veteran's appeal regarding his hemorrhoids is being remanded due to the need for clarification on whether he seeks extraschedular consideration or secondary service connection, and a new examination to assess the current severity of his condition.

The Veteran's tinnitus is found to be causally related to service. The Board has granted service connection for this condition.

The Veteran's service-connected disabilities render him unable to secure or follow a substantially gainful occupation, and the Board has granted entitlement to TDIU. The case is remanded for further development regarding his esophageal adenocarcinoma rating and housebound status.

The appeal is dismissed due to the Veteran's death.
