Hemorrhoids Board decisions

The Board has granted service connection for colon cancer and the cause of death, as well as a TDIU. The Veteran's hypertension and hemorrhoids were found not to warrant increased ratings, while folliculitis was also denied.

The Board has decided to remand four issues related to the Veteran's service connection claims, including for a left achilles tendon/left ankle condition, right shoulder condition, hemorrhoids, and degenerative arthritis of the lumbar spine. The decision also notes that verification of all periods of Active Duty Training (ACDUTRA) and Inactive Duty Training (INACDUTRA) is needed.

The Veteran's seizure disability and major depressive disorder are granted. The Veteran is awarded a 70% rating for his major depressive disorder prior to July 15, 2015. He also receives TDIU benefits prior to that date.

The Board denied the Veteran's claims for service connection for cervical spine disorder, emphysema, radiculopathy of the left and right upper extremities, internal hemorrhoids, hiatal hernia with gastroesophageal reflux symptoms, and major depressive disorder. The Veteran was granted a 70 percent rating for major depressive disorder from February 20, 2015.

The Board dismissed the appeals for service connection for chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory insufficiency, chronic. The remaining issues of service connection for hemorrhoids, fungus, stasis ulcer, right leg, morbid obesity, arterial hypertension, and peripheral vascular disease are remanded.

The Veteran's claim for increased ratings for hemorrhoids and post-operative left inguinal hernia with scar was denied. The Board found that the evidence did not support a compensable rating for either condition during any period on appeal.

The Veteran's stricture of the urethra is rated at a 40 percent evaluation since February 17, 2009. The rating remains unchanged.

The Veteran's hemorrhoids have worsened since the last VA examination in October 2014, and a new examination is needed to determine his current disability level.

The Veteran's claims for increased ratings for irritable bowel syndrome and hearing loss were dismissed. A rating of 20 percent, but no more, was granted for the service-connected irritable bowel syndrome.

The Veteran's appeals have been dismissed as he has withdrawn his requests for increased disability ratings in the aforementioned conditions.

The Veteran's left shoulder tendonitis is granted a 20% rating, right eye disability remains at 10%, and hemorrhoids are granted a non-compensable rating.

The Board denied service connection for various conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative arthritis, gouty arthritis, and others. The claims were not granted on a presumptive basis due to lack of evidence linking these conditions to herbicide exposure.

The Veteran's service-connected hemorrhoids are being remanded for a new examination to assess the current severity and functional impairment.

The Board dismissed the claim for service connection for hemorrhoids due to a withdrawal of appeal. The issue of service connection for epilepsy is remanded for further development.

The Veteran's claim for residuals of a hemorrhoidectomy was granted. The claim for service connection for diabetes mellitus was denied due to lack of in-service exposure and no evidence of herbicide exposure.

The Board has remanded the case for additional development regarding service connection for a cervical spine disability, as well as increased evaluations for lumbar disc surgery and hemorrhoids. The Veteran's claims are not yet resolved.

The Veteran's appeals for left heel spurs, right heel spurs, and hypertension have been dismissed due to withdrawal of the appeal.,Tinnitus has been granted as service connected.,PTSD has been granted as service connected.

The Veteran's PTSD is being remanded for obtaining updated VA and private treatment records, as well as a VA examination to assess the impact of his service-connected disabilities on employment. The TDIU claim is also being remanded.

The Board dismissed the appeals for service connection for allergic rhinitis, increased ratings for right shoulder and left knee disabilities, and increased rating for hemorrhoids. The claim to reopen and grant service connection for low back disability was granted.

The Veteran's claim for service connection for hemorrhoids, dysthymic disorder, and post-concussion syndrome has been reopened. Service connection is granted for hemorrhoids and a disability rating of 30% is assigned for hiatal hernia.
